The Cavalry are a group of mounted re-enactors who are engaged in all aspects of re-enacting with horses. We cover a number of different periods and currently portray four Cavalry impressions.

· 10th (Cobham’s) Dragoons circa 1750 (Lace Wars)

· 11th (Prince Albert’s Own) Hussars circa 1854 (Crimea)

· 2nd Massachusetts Union Cavalry (California 100) circa 1862 (American Civil War)

· 1st Virginia Confederate Cavalry (Loudons Horse) circa 1862 (American Civil War)

We aim to be fully authentic in each impression which we portray and as well as uniforms and Cavalry horse equipment we use authentic drill and orders appropriate to each impression.

The Cavalry are available to hire for a range of events, including displays, local events, and Living History. We welcome new recruits irrespective of gender, age or race.
